Pam Machemehl Helmly
Chief Science Officer
Pam is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Scientific Nutrition. She has worked in the healthcare industry since 1981, beginning as an undergraduate doing research at Texas Children’s Hospital in a study on Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Pam oversees all aspects of patient care, laboratory findings, formula determinations and technology for Neurogistics. Previously, Pam acted as the Wellness Director for Peoples Pharmacy in Austin, TX and as a Health Care Administrator for Sanus Healthcare in Houston, Texas. Pam served on the NCAA professional panel for the “Project Yes” Program as the nutritional consultant. She has spoken at numerous industry and academic gatherings and a host of independent seminars. Her topics center on improving physical outcome for professional athletes through nutrition, women’s health issues, nutrition in pharmaceutical settings, PTSD and decreasing ADD/ADHD/ spectrum-like symptoms through nutritional intervention. Pam was also a featured segment on Stay Fit America with former WNBA player Fran Harris on the Fox Network.
Pam’s focus on treating the “whole patient” rather than just symptoms or one single biomedical test on a client has improved the outcome of the Neurogistics patients. Her passion and the majority of her research are related to neurological disorders. Having completed well over 62,000 neurological urinalysis profiles, Pam is a leader in the field of changing the brain to improve mood, focus, behavior, enhance sports performance, and aid in the treatment of eating disorders. Pam sees a variety of patients from internationally adopted children to professional athletes in her private practice as well as other children and adults desiring to be as healthy as possible. Her greatest desire for the future is to expand her work in improving patient outcomes through proper cellular nutrition, improved gut integrity and balanced brain chemistry. Pam drives laboratories to produce the most technologically advanced testing in the most timely manner.
Champane Larae Frias
Chief Executive Officer
Champane joined the Neurogistics team in February of 2010. Champane can be found at the pulse of all that occurs at Neurogistics. Her experience as a small business owner prepared her for the myriad of responsibilities that she would take over at Neurogistics. Champane started in the accounting department prior to moving into the clinical services. Her love of learning, patient care and science prompted her desire to study nutrition.
Champane earned her diploma in Comprehensive Nutrition through Huntington College of Health Sciences. Champane served as a clinician to adult clients coming to Neurogistics before transitioning into clinical operations. She continues to work closely as an apprentice under Pam Machemehl Helmly. Champane is a diligent student of nutrition and neuroscience.
Julia Strickler, ND
Clinical Consultant: Neurogistics Children’s Program
Dr. Julia received her Doctorate of Naturopathy (ND) from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. She also holds a BA in the History of Math and Science and Philosophy from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland. Prior to practicing in Austin, her experience includes interning at The Chopra Center in Carlsbad, CA, working at The Texas Center for Biological Medicine in Dallas, and practicing at the Hawaii Naturopathic Retreat Center in Pahoa, Hawaii. In order to address any number of chronic conditions and lifestyle challenges, she also assists patients through nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, hydrotherapy and mind-body awareness. A runner and aspiring yogi, she looks to balance the mind, body and spirit. Dr. Julia works with our Children’s Program providing consultations and support to the families we work with.
Jessica Wilhelm, BS, CN
Director of Clinical and Practitioner Service
Jessica joined the team in January 2016. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Scientific Nutrition. She has worked in the healthcare industry since 2000. After getting her education in clinical nutrition she served as the wellness director for Peoples Rx in Austin, TX. Jessica’s focus is on treating the whole patient using her extensive background in functional and integrative nutrition.
Jessica acts as a clinician to adult clients coming to Neurogistics without a practitioner of their own and works closely with Pam Machemehl Helmly and Champane Frias. She is passionate about health and wellness and enjoys educating people so they can make informed decisions regarding their health.
Emily Roberts, MA LPC
Therapeutic Parenting Consultant: Children's Program
Emily has worked with Neurogistics for over eight years; she is dedicated to helping children in-need and providing families with support. Her background in Counseling Psychology allows her to assist parents and families in the Neurogistics Child’s Program. Emily is able to help our parents by suggesting resources, offer psycho-education and collaborate with practitioners in the children’s program to optimize outcomes.
Emily received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and her Masters Degree in Counseling from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas. Her education and work experience has allowed her to conduct and work on many studies and experiments. Her internship experience includes diagnostic testing and psychotherapy, specifically working with children and adolescents, many of whom were adopted or in foster care. Emily has extensive experience working with a variety of populations and disorders; children and young adults suffering from anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, Eating Disorders, Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), are among the many that she works with. For the past two years she has worked intensively with the Asperger’s and Autism population, as well. She has been trained in a variety of therapeutic parenting approaches, Trauma First Aid, and family therapy. Emily is an author, educational speaker, and parenting consultant. Emily is available for private appointments in person or by phone. Emily is the author of "Express Yourself; A Teen Girl's Guide to Speaking Up and Being Who You Are" and can frequently be seen as a commentator on the HLN network on the Dr. Drew Show.
Technical Services Manager
Emily first joined the Neurogistics team in 2012. She works closely with our contracting laboratories to manage and expedite the processing of all lab samples. Emily is also responsible for the fulfillment of all test kit orders for Neurogistics. She works closely with our Children's Program Team and serves as the liaison to the program for the families that we work with. These responsibilities require a great deal of efficiency and accuracy; two of Emily's strongest attributes.
Emily has experience in the natural health field studying and practicing as a massage therapist. Emily is currently a student of nutrition.
Shipping and Manufacturing Manager
Brooks joined the Neurogistics team in the summer of 2012. Brooks has had a career in warehousing and logistics for almost ten years, rising from an entry level shipping employee to management, working with several leading shipping and distribution centers. With almost a decade of practical experience in warehousing and logistics management, Brooks has taken over all of Neurogistics’ shipping and manufacturing needs as well as services for our international clients. His knowledge of the logistic and manufacturing industries make him a valuable asset to the Neurogistics Company.
